What's In Your Way Coaching · Coparenting Course
The wheel is already in motion. The rhythm is already in place. Whatever is unresolved between you and the other parent — whatever you're still carrying about how it went down — all of that is already present in the environment your kids are growing up in. It is already compounding.
What this work is asking of you
That is not an indictment. It is a reality. And it is the reason this work is urgent.
Attunement and connection — the things our children need most from us — get fractured in a divorce. Not destroyed. Fractured. Which means each parent has to work that much harder. On themselves. On behalf of their kids.
This course draws its framework from the landmark 25-year longitudinal research of Judith Wallerstein — because the research tells us something that changes the entire conversation about what matters most after a divorce with children.
What the Research Found
The quality of the coparenting relationship is the single greatest predictor of children's outcomes after divorce.
Not the custody arrangement. Not the financial settlement. The coparenting relationship. — Judith Wallerstein, 25-year longitudinal study
This work is for you if —
— You are navigating a divorce with children and want to be intentional about how you show up
— You sense that what happens now is going to shape who your children become in ways you can't fully see yet
— You are carrying something about how the marriage ended that needs to be worked through rather than carried forward
— You want to be able to look your children in the eye, ten or twenty years from now, and know that you showed up for this
— You are willing to look honestly at what you contributed — because the parent who can do that is the parent who actually changes
What Working Together Looks Like
Nine sessions total — one per week. Each parent works individually, in their own sessions, with full confidentiality. What you bring into this space stays here.
Session Zero
Exists before the course begins. Its only purpose is to receive you — not as a parent. As a person. Before anything is asked of you, there is space to simply arrive.
Sessions 1-8
Eight 90-minute modules, one per week. Moving through what is unresolved, what you are carrying, what your children need from you, and what it means to show up as the parent this moment is asking you to be.
Each parent works in their own individual sessions. This is not couples work and it is not mediation. It is one parent, doing their own work, for the sake of the children they share.
The wheel is already in motion.
The only question is what you decide to do about it — and when.
If something landed —
