The Connected Parent

What's In Your Way Coaching · Parenting Course

There aren't as many things that matter in parenting as the conversation around it suggests. There are really just a few. This course is six weeks spent understanding what they are — and discovering that you already have more of what it takes than you think.

What This Is

This is not a how-to. It is not a list of rules or a framework for getting it right. It is a space for honest conversation — about who you are, who you are to each other, and who you want to be for the person who is coming.

Whether you're certain, still deciding, or somewhere in between — this is a space to slow down with the questions that actually matter before life answers them for you.

Every session of this course is held underneath one question — asked at the very beginning and returned to at the very end.

The Question

What kind of home do you want
to raise a child in?

How someone answers that question at the beginning of this course — and how they answer it at the end — is the evidence of what happened in between.

This Course Is For —

The Contemplators

Genuinely asking whether you want children

Nobody is talking you into it or out of it. This course respects you enough to slow down before the decision is made.

The Expecting or New Parent

You've decided. Now comes the more interesting question.

Who do you want to be in it? The decision is made. The work of becoming starts here.

The Parent Already In It

Something drew you to this work

That instinct is worth following. Whatever brought you here — there's a reason it landed.

What working together looks like

Six sessions across six modules — 90 minutes each. Conversational, not instructional. There is no lecture. There is no curriculum to get through. There are questions, space to think, and the kind of honest conversation that tends to surface things people didn't know they needed to say.

In a Cohort

Small Groups of Four to Six

Two to three couples or individuals who share a rapport, a friendship, or a season of life. The group format creates a kind of honesty that's harder to reach alone.

Individually

Just you, or you and your partner

For those who prefer to do this work privately. Individual and couples sessions are available for the full six-week course.

Connection is the thing.

You come back to it when you've drifted.
And you trust that the coming back is enough.
